Weekly Announcements: 01/27 - 01/31
We hope everyone stayed safe and warm during the most recent winter weather. We also appreciate all our scholars and families who took some time each day to work on their Remote Learning Activities.
We will see you all on Tuesday night for our STEM Global-Cambridge Family Fun Night! We will have several exciting and engaging stations exploring Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math! We will also have pizza to share as well. We hope you all plan to join us this Tuesday, January 28th at 5:30 for an evening of innovation and fun!
In athletics this week: Girls and Boys Basketball is home on both Monday and Thursday this week and Wrestling is away Thursday at Parker Middle School.
We don't have any information yet on making up the games and matches we missed last week, but as soon as we do, we will share it with our families.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, January 22nd, is a Remote Learning Day for all Edgecombe County Schools. The physical school building will be closed. Scholars will not report to MMA but will have an opportunity to work on independent academic activities.
Tomorrow morning, MMA Staff will share asynchronous activities and directions via Thrillshare Rooms or Google Classroom, whichever platform is applicable to your child's grade level. Some teachers had previously sent home inclement weather resources that go with some of the activities that may be posted and shared tomorrow.
MMA Staff will check their email in the morning, at lunch/mid-day, and again in the afternoon to respond to any clarifying questions.

Bus Announcement: Bus 317/332 will be leaving campus at 12:45. All other buses will be on the regular 2 hour early release schedule and leave campus at 1:20. Again 317/332 will be leaving campus at 12:45. If anything needs to change with your student's transportation, please contact their teacher or the school.
Sorry for the late notice. Bus 317/332 will be a double route this morning so will be picked up later than usual. We are sorry for the inconvenience and late notice.
Awards ceremonies for Tuesday, January 21st have been canceled. We have been told to expect an early release. We will have more details as to exact release times after an 8 AM briefing. We will share updated information as we receive it.
All Awards Day ceremonies are canceled today, Tuesday, January 21st.

Mid-Year Growth Awards are happening this week. Please note, that should the daily schedule be altered, the Awards ceremonies that day will be canceled. That means if there is a delayed start, an early release, or if school is closed, the Awards will be canceled. Teachers will make sure those scholars receiving awards are presented their awards in the classroom and will send home certificates.
The Awards Day Schedule is as follows (as long as the school day isn't altered as described above):
January 21:
- 8:30 to 9:00 AM: 1st Grade Awards Ceremony
- 9:15 to 9:45 AM: K Grade Awards Ceremony
- 10:00 to 10:30 AM: 2nd Grade Awards Ceremony
- 10:45 to 11:15 AM: 4th Grade Awards Ceremony
- 11:30 to 12:00 PM: 3rd Grade Awards Ceremony
January 22:
- 9:00 to 9:30 AM: 5th Grade Awards Ceremony
- 10:45 to 11:15 AM: 8th Grade Awards Ceremony
- 1:30 to 2:00 PM: 6th Grade Awards Ceremony
- 2:15 to 2:45 PM: 7th Grade Awards Ceremony

Good Evening Trailblazers. Bus 332/317 will be running about 10 minutes earlier than normal tomorrow morning. Please be ready at your stop 10 minutes early tomorrow morning. Again, this is for Bus 332/317. The bus will be running early and we do not want you to miss the bus. We look forward to seeing you at school.
Good Afternoon! Students who ride Bus 388 will be leaving campus today at 2:30. They will arrive at their stops approximately an hour earlier than normal time. Please contact your student's teacher or the school if any changes need to be made to your child's transportation before 2:30.
Good morning. There is a delay with Bus 388 this morning. There is an incident blocking traffic. The bus is NOT involved with the incident. However, it is stuck in traffic. Thank you for your patience.
Good Afternoon, students who ride Bus 332/317 will be dismissing early today. They will be running about 45 minutes earlier than usual. Students will be leaving school around 2:30. If other arrangements need to be made, please let your student's teacher know as soon as possible.
Bus 388 is just leaving campus. We are sorry for the delay.

Weekly Announcements 12.16 - 12.20
We hace a few more days to seize the opportunity to serve others and contribute to our annual food drive. Please consider sending canned or non perishable food items to donate. We will accept donations through Thursday, December 19th. Just think, if every scholar and staff member donated one can, we could have over 600 items to support our community this winter.
Next week is Holiday Spirit Week. Monday is Red vs. Green supporting team Santa or team Grinch. Tuesday is Sweater Weather and we'll wear festive or tacky holiday shirts. Wednesday is Festive Headgear. Thursday is Pajama Day. Friday is Elfie Selfie or Crazy Socks. We hope everyone will join us in the Winter and Holiday Spirit and participate.
Finally, Friday, December 20th is an early release day. We will dismiss at 12:20.
